Partner Dance for People with Parkinson's (All welcome)
with Max Kepler and Seattle Open Role Dance
Learning and practicing partner dance is helpful for people with Parkinson's, improving balance and posture and reducing many symptoms. Scientists don't yet know whether the therapeutic value of dance derives from its use of touch, rhythm, and intentional improvisation, or the social connections and intellectual stimulation that naturally arise during learning and practicing together. Studies do suggest that dancing is WAY MORE FUN than traditional exercise, and we think so too.
