The Saturday Open-Role Practica

A Collaborative Tango Practice Group

The Open-Role Practica is a collaborative learning environment open to new and experienced tango dancers. All who attend co-create a welcoming and inviting space for sharing and learning.

Civetta Dance Center
124 N 103rd St, Seattle

The Open-Role Practica is ON this Saturday, May 19th. This weekend, we'll investigate some unusual sacadas, including how to enable them and how to execute them. We will then examine a method for discovering and creating your own unusual sacadas, perhaps some never before seen here in Seattle! We will delve into issues of timing and stability, shaping of the free leg, foot placement, and balance.

Class will meet from 4-5:15pm, followed by a 45 minute guided practica where you can continue to experiment with the ideas from class and get Max to answer individual questions or offer additional feedback on your form. Session fee is $15. The floor will remain open until 7pm for additional practice to a wide variety of classic, traditional, and modern tango music. Milonga and tango vals tandas also available by request. :)

All are welcome to attend the Open-Role Practica.

This is a LGBT-safe and welcoming environment.

$15 for class and practica.
